From “Literary Walk” to Chinese Learning for NCS students
The Chinese Learning Support Team for Non-Chinese Speaking Students (NCSs) of our school organized a "Literary Walk" activity in the Eastern District on 3 November 2023, aiming to lead Form 1 and Form 3 NCS students to visit Hong Kong's literary attractions in a lively and interesting way, including Fu Lee Loy Shopping Centre at Fortress Hill, Oil Street Art Space (Oi!) and Chun Yeung Street at North Point.
The purpose of the activity is two-fold: to allow students to read literary passages written by local writers to cultivate their interest in Chinese language learning (especially reading and writing); and gain a deeper understanding on community development and street history by joining the activity. NCSs are having fun and discover the beauty of Culture and Chinese reading at the same time.
