The 21st Parent-Teacher Association meeting was held on 23rd September in our school hall. It started with a flag-raising ceremony and was followed by a talk by Dr. Wu Siu Wai, the Vice-Chairman of Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers. Dr. Wu reviewed with us the development and rapid rise of China in recent years. Participants also learnt a lot when he introduced the concept of ‘One Country, Two Systems’ and some important facts about national security education in Hong Kong.
Parents play an essential role in the running of the Parent-Teacher Association. The members of the Parent-Teacher Association voted for the committee members (parent representatives) in the meeting and eight representatives were selected. After meeting the class teachers, the first committee meeting was held. As an important bridge between parents and the school, the committee members exchanged ideas and a lot of events will be organized to support the learning of students at school this year.
