Hug-a-Dog Experience Day
On 23rd March, our SAGC Voluntary Team participated in the“Hug-a-Dog Experience Day organized by the Home of Homeless Dogs in Tai Po.
The problem of stray animals is serious in Hong Kong. Many of them face difficult situations such as hunger and harsh environments and weather in the community. They are subjected to a lack of care and can even be discriminated against by society. Our team would like to raise teachers’ and students’ awareness of stray animals by joining this activity and promoting a pet friendly concept. Also, we would like to inculcate students to respect lives.
Teachers and students from the SAGC Voluntary Team assisted the cleaning and weeding duties. They also fed the dogs and played with them.
In addition, the team donated daily necessities and food to the organization on behalf of the school. All the donations are from the Charity Day.
