Feast Day of the Immaculate Conception
8th Dec, teachers and students gathered at our school hall to express our sincere gratitude and love to Our Lady, and to celebrate the Feast Day of the Immaculate Conception.
To become the mother of the Saviour, Mary was enriched by God with gifts appropriate to such a role. On the Feast Day, we celebrated the solemn belief in the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Catholics believe that Mary was free from Original Sin from the very first moment of her conception in her mother’s womb. Mary was the first one to be saved by the infinite mercy of God, Our Father. She was the first fruit of salvation which Jesus gave everyone.
Immaculate Mary is our role model to serve others. She taught us to trust in God and to be humble. Mary said that her soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord and her spirit rejoices in God. The Feast of the Immaculate Conception has a specific message for us: it reminds us that everything in our life is a gift, like the mercy of God.
