The Palace Museum Caravan Enters School Activity
From May 12th to 14th, we participated in the "HELLO The Palace Museum Caravan Enters School" activity, sponsored by the Hong Kong Jockey Club and organized by The Academy of Chinese Studies . The caravan showcased the architectural features of the Palace Museum, such as dougong (bracket sets), window lattices, and ridge beasts. It also used digital technology and interactive methods to introduce the palaces and artifacts, restoration methods, different court costumes, and the cooking methods and dishes of imperial cuisine. We arranged for all students (Form 1 to Form 5) to visit, coordinating with the curriculum and utilizing the organizer's teaching resources to reinforce students' learning and deepen their understanding of the profoundness of Chinese culture. In addition, we arranged a special session for teachers and parents, not only fulfilling our mission of promoting Chinese culture but also allowing teachers and parents to learn about what the students learned, thereby increasing topics for communication.
