A Spiritual Journey: Macau and Zhuhai Religious and Cultural Exploration
Our students embarked on a transformative two-day, one-night journey to Macau and Zhuhai, exploring the rich tapestry of religious and cultural heritage. This trip, organized by the Citizenship and Social Development and Religious Studies departments, aimed to deepen students' understanding of Chinese culture, foster their national identity, and cultivate the core values of Catholicism.
In Zhuhai, students immersed themselves in the city's history and development through visits to the Zhuhai Grand Theatre, the Zhuhai Museum, and the North Hill Mansion. The trip also highlighted the significance of preserving cultural heritage through the revitalization of historic buildings.
In Macau, students delved deeper into the "One Country, Two Systems" principle at the Macau Museum and the Basic Law Exhibition Hall. They then experienced the profound spiritual atmosphere of Macau, visiting the St. Francis Xavier Church in Coloane. Here, they revisited the Christmas story and reflected on the profound meaning of God's love and sacrifice.
