Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration at St. Antonius Girls’ College (18 September, 2024)
On September 18, 2024, St. Antonius Girls’ College embraced the spirit of the Mid-Autumn Festival with a joyous celebration during lunchtime, bringing together students, teachers, and parents in a vibrant atmosphere filled with warmth and happiness.
The celebration kicked off with a delightful activity where students, teachers, and parents collaborated to make snowy mooncakes. Under the guidance of our dedicated staff, everyone rolled up their sleeves and crafted these delicious treats that symbolize reunion and harmony.
The school also provided an array of traditional festive foods, creating a feast for the senses. Tables were adorned with taros, chestnuts, pistachios, and an assortment of nuts, candies, and chocolates. The highlight of the celebration was a selection of mooncakes, including traditional, custard and snowy mooncakes. While participants enjoyed different kinds of festive foods, they were treated to a tasting experience featuring a variety of exquisite Chinese teas. Everyone had the opportunity to savour the rich flavors and aromas that accompany this festive occasion.
To add to the festive spirit, students engaged in guessing festive riddles, a popular tradition during the Mid-Autumn Festival. The riddles sparked excitement and curiosity, as participants worked together to solve them. Laughter erupted as friends teamed up, showcasing their creativity and teamwork while enjoying the festive atmosphere.
