Feast Day of St. Antonius
17th January is the Feast Day of St. Antonius. All teachers and students gathered at the school hall to hold a prayer gathering in order to celebrate the Feast. Students learnt the story of St. Antonius and were deeply moved by his generosity and his dedication to God.
One day, when St. Antonius entered the church to hear the Gospel, in which the Lord said to the rich young man, "If you want to be perfect, go to sell all you have, give them to the poor, and come to follow me." (Matthew 19:21) Promptly in response to God’s holy words, he gave his wealth to the poor and needy.
During the preparation, students from the Catholic Society wrote prayer cards to St. Antonius to pray on behalf of us in heaven. Students prayed for God’s help in reaching our potential and utilizing our talents to overcome challenges in life. We hope our students can imitate the life of St. Antonius --- to listen humbly to the Lord and actively respond to the call of the Lord.
