“Reading for Unlimited FUN” Reading Carnival & Chinese Culture Day 2026
The Reading Carnival and Chinese Culture Day, held on 7 July, was a lively celebration of literature and cultural diversity. Taking place in the hall, classrooms, and the covered playground, it welcomed participants of all kinds and helped nurture a love of reading as well as appreciation for Chinese traditions.
The Reading Carnival offered a range of activities, including interactive game stalls and a talk about the Chinese classic, Journey to the West. It also featured classic Chinese readers and was intended to spark students’ interest in reading.
Participants took part in activities such as making bookmarks, drawing on fans, making knots, and trying other traditional Chinese handicrafts. They also had the opportunity to wear traditional Chinese costumes, allowing them to experience Chinese cultural practices more deeply.
In short, the event effectively promoted literacy and strengthened cultural understanding, leaving participants inspired and eager to explore both the written word and the richness of Chinese heritage.
