A Christmas-Themed English Week 2024
English Week 2024 was held from 2nd to 6th December at St Antonius Girls’ College. Different activities were held each lunch recess, such as the DIY Christmas baking activity where students had fun decorating Christmas cookies that they could then eat. A Christmas craft activity was also held where the students made their own Christmas decoration to take away. There was also enthusiastic participation at the English singing contest, the Christmas-themed English Cafe and Christmas Special Chat and Treat English Day. The activities weren’t just held outside the classroom though, as junior classes from forms 1-3 also participated in the Christmas crossword challenge, encouraged by the prizes of ice cream that were on offer for the top three competitors in each class. It was heartening to see so many students take part in the activities across the week and get into the spirit of Christmas while using their English language.
