On 2nd November, our F.6 girls took part in the Joint School Oral Practice in Buddhist Ho Nam Kam College. Over 30 schools, 76 teachers and 960 students were invited to participate in this large scale mock examination. In order to strengthen students’ oral communication skills, increase their self-confidence in oral examination, they were first divided into groups to practice and to observe. Afterwards, they got immediate feedback from their peer and the oral examiners. After the mock examination, Dr. Lam Wai-ip, the Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education, the University of Hong Kong, delivered a talk “Oral Examination Skills Analysis” to all participated teachers and students. All of us benefited a great deal from this meaningful activity.
