Our school organized an Inter-class Classroom Cleaning Competition from 19/4 to 26/4 this year. The aims of this competition were to arouse peers’ environmental awareness and develop environmentally friendly attitudes. There were two green prefects from each class and their responsibility was to help improve class environmental performance. The two green prefects were required to monitor and inspect the classroom of lower form students randomly from 19/4 to 26/4. Evaluating the situation of classrooms in school under certain criteria, the green prefects gave appropriate marks according to the marking criteria set by teachers. With the active participation of whole school students, some of the classes with outstanding performance were given presents to encourage them to live in an environmentally friendly way.
