National Identity
On the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the Peopleˇ¦s Republic of China, the whole school gathered in the playground in the afternoon to witness the solemn National Flag Raising Ceremony. The Moral and Civic Education Team also explained the meaning of the national flag to us.

After the ceremony, several groups of students who went on educational and cultural tours to the Mainland, including Beijing, Xian and Guangzhou, during the last academic year, shared their experiences with us in the school hall. Besides historical sites and tourist attractions, students also visited some universities. They were impressed by the up-to-date learning facilities and learning attitude of the university students. They also broadened their horizons by having an opportunity to meet the astronauts and learning about the latest technological advancements in science and space exploration in recent years.

After the talk, our Principal, Ms Li Suk Mei, began the ceremony by thanking all parents and teachers for their efforts in fostering home-school cooperation. She also thanked the committee members for organizing various activities such as the annual picnic, cooking and handicraft classes. She hoped that the PTA would continue to promote closer ties between parents and the school.

Their presentations were followed by a question-and-answer session. All the audience responded to the questions enthusiastically. Their sharing gave us deeper insights into our motherland and strengthened our awareness of our national identity.
